Makridis Learning was founded by Dr. Dimitri Makridis to address the needs of individuals with autism and related disorders and their families. The purpose of Makridis Learning is to help our clients and families achieve their greatest potential and live joyful, productive lives through the power of behavioral science. Dr. Makridis’ ABA model is a focused holistic approach that combines the best of scientifically validated behavioral principles, treatment methods, and instructional techniques from applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral economics, social decision-making theory, and cooperative learning theory. The design of our ABA model is to teach essential communication, social, and daily living skills that contribute to improved overall executive functioning. The overarching goal of the Makridis Learning model is to produce maximal independence for the best quality of life for our clients and their families. Additionally, by providing high-quality ABA services, we seek to increase awareness and understanding of special needs and promote the use of function-based practices in the field.
