Our Families
Overall, our ABA clients and their families may be facing a wide range of challenges related to their child's behavioral and social development that has them seeking additional support. Common challenges may include difficulties with communication, socialization, self-care, personal hygiene, community participation, behavior management problems, as well as struggles with learning and academic achievement. Parent training is a pivotal part of the Makridis Learning model. Our parents/guardians, siblings, grandparents, and other family members also face challenges related to managing their loved one’s behavior that often results in difficulty finding appropriate support and resources that effectively meet their child's needs. All this while many families may also be struggling with the emotional and financial strain of seeking and coordinating the various services and supports that their child requires. Our consultative service is designed to help families navigate the labyrinth of social services to get our clients and families what they need and deserve.
